On June 24th Quebec
celebrates its National Day also known as St. John the Baptist’s Day (or St.
Jean Baptiste Day). This day the citizens of Quebec honor their saint patron -
John the Baptist. The province celebrates this legal holiday with solemn
ceremonies followed by lively festivities and art and sports events. Quebec is a
special part of Canada and it differs very much from the other parts of the
country. St. John the Baptist’s Day is much more festive holiday for Quebec than
main national holiday – Canada Day.
