 Notting Hill Carnival 2007 takes place on Sunday 26 August and
Monday 27 August. This year it’s organized for the 43rd time. On Sunday 26th August, there will be
Children’s Carnival. Kids will perform along a route, which is a little bit
shorter than the one for the adults. They also share the day with the Soca Sound
Systems and Steelbands, who both also compete during the day. All in all there
are expected 35 Costume Bands, up to 25 Soca Sound Systems, up to 45 Static
Sound Systems and 10 Steel Bands. The next day is carnival time for the adults.
All the bands, floats and masqueraders will show what the carnival is all about.
It usually includes 60 Costume bands, up to 25 Soca Sound Systems, up to 45
Static Sound Systems and 10 Steel Bands. |
