 This year the international art market
ART COLOGNE celebrates its anniversary - it will be held for the 40th time. ART
COLOGNE is one of the world’s leading art fairs, where many internationally
known galleries are presented. The exhibition concentrates on the art of
the 20th and 21st centuries. It covers the full specter – from modernism of the
early XX century to the most recent works. This time a special section “Open
Space” devoted to the contemporary art is organized. Last year it was presented
for the first time and has a success. There is also “New Talents” programme
supporting new talents and created by Federal Commissioner for Cultural and
Media Affairs, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the City of Cologne and
Koelnmesse. The winner in this section will receive Young Artist Prize. “New
Contemporaries” is a program promoting new galleries, sponsored by SK Culture
Foundation of the Sparkasse KölnBonn.
