Cave B Inn

Location. Built on a cliff overlooking the Columbia River Gorge, the Cave B Inn is located in Quincy, Wash., between Seattle and Spokane. Part of the SageCliffe Estate, this wine resort is surrounded by vineyards and orchards. The hotel is less than one-half mile from the Gorge Amphitheater and within eight miles from the Wild Horse Monument and Quincy Lakes Wildlife Area.

Hotel Features. The Cave B Inn features wine tours, culinary classes, a restaurant and a wine bar. Tendrils restaurant serves Northwestern cuisine with ingredients harvested from Sagecliffe’s organic gardens. Treatments at the spa include hot stone massages and aromatherapy facials and body wraps. Indoor and outdoor meeting space is available, including the 2,250-square-foot Piazza, a grassy area surrounded by a perimeter of trellises. The hotel offers a golf driving range. A one-mile hiking trail to the river below provides panoramic views of the canyon, waterfalls and seasonal ponds.

Guestrooms. Each guestroom at the Cave B Inn features floor-to-ceiling windows and a terrace or balcony with sunset views over the Columbia River and vineyard. Rooms provide cave-like rock entrances. Bathrooms feature Italian granite countertops and slate tile floors. The bedding includes 300-thread count Egyptian linens and goose down pillows. Rooms are equipped with DVD players and flat-screen televisions. Coffeemakers are included in each guestroom. High-speed wired and wireless Internet access is available for a fee.

Expert Tip. The tasting room at the Cave B Estate Winery is open daily and features the resort’s signature estate wines, Cave B and SageCliffe. The gift shop offers a selection of wine-themed gifts.
