Occupying a building that dates back to the 16th century, the Hotel Colonna Palace is situated in the historic centre of Rome, right in front of the Italian Parliament building surrounded by the ancient, narrow streets that characterize the district, within 500 metres of many major attractions. High ceilings, floor length curtains, richly coloured floral fabrics and walls hung with period prints and engravings characterise the air-conditioned guestrooms. Rome Fiumicino Airport is 30 kilometres and about a 40 minute journey away. There is an express train service every 30 minutes to Rome's Termini train station (journey time 30 minutes). A single ticket costs around 10 EUR. Taxis are readily available at the airport, and at Termini. Take a licensed metered taxi only. An airport surcharge is payable. A taxi to the city centre will cost 50-60 EUR.
