California am Kurfürstendamm

Location. The Hotel California is located on the Kurfuerstendamm shopping thoroughfare, in the centre of Berlin, Germany. KaDeWe department store is 700 metres away, and Potsdamer Platz is within four kilometres. The nearest train station, at the Zoologischer Garten, is 500 metres from the hotel, and Berlin-Tegel Airport is at a nine-kilometre distance.
Hotel Features. Housed in a turn-of-the- century property, the Hotel California opens to a lobby area finished in granite and marble, and hung with chandeliers. Guests can sun themselves in the solarium; relax by the fountain in hotel's internal courtyard and garden area, and surf the web via the wireless Internet access (surcharge). Expert Tip. The Brandenburg Gate, four kilometres from the hotel, is one of Germany's most recognisable landmarks. Constructed in the late 18th century as a monument of peace, the gate's Doric splendour is the only remaining gate of a series through which one formerly entered Berlin. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall it has come to symbolise the unity of the city.
