Regency Jerusalem Hotel

Location. Built in 1987, the Regency Jerusalem Hotel features seven arcaded courtyards and an atrium lobby and is located two kilometres from the Old City and seven kilometres from the centre of modern Jerusalem. The Tower of David Museum is four kilometres from the hotel and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is five kilometres away. Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) is 50 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.
Hotel Features. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool with poolside bar as well as two floodlit tennis courts. The spa centre has steam rooms, fitness equipment, an indoor pool and massage treatments are available. The Orient Express Nightclub and bar provides an excellent late night venue. There is a hair salon offering beauty treatments, and a gift shop and newsstand. A full range of business services are provided and Internet access (surcharge) is available. Other amenities include room service (limited hours) and complimentary parking.

The Regency Jerusalem Hotel houses a number of dining options. Valentino's Dairy Restaurant is set in Italian style room with a show kitchen and serves Italian and Mediterranean dishes including fish specialities. Castel Café Restaurant and Bar features a display of paintings by famous Israeli artist Moshe Castel, views across Jerusalem and live music every night. The Pavilion Dining Room serves breakfast and Mediterranean dishes from a buffet in the evening.

Guestrooms. The 502 guestrooms over nine floors have subtle earth tones and contemporary furnishings. All are equipped with air conditioning, satellite television, Internet connections (surcharge), refrigerators, safes and direct-dial phones with voicemail. Bathrooms have hair dryers and makeup mirrors.

Expert Tip. Jerusalem's historical heritage is unrivalled but perhaps the one thing not to miss is the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, said to be on the site of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus Christ.
