Hotel Features. Built in 1886 as a private palazzo, the Savoy Hotel building was converted into a hotel in 1920. It is a white building with a grand entrance framed by two tall columns. The lobby retains its 1920's style with a high ceiling, marble floor, floral rugs and wall hangings, ornate mirrors and Murano- glass chandeliers.
