Those who are traveling to Germany in November will definitely like
the special offer that is provided by German railway. It is named Herbst-Spezial
and gives you an opportunity to buy tickets to any destination within Germany
for 29 Euros whereas the ticket to Austria, Czech Republic, Luxemburg, Belgium,
Denmark, The Netherlands or Switzerland will cost you as much as 39 Euros. This
offer is valid starting November 1st and till December
9th. All in all, there are about half a
million tickets offered (that is approximately 25,000 tickets per day) which can
be bought via the internet or with the help of ticket machines as long as the
supply is enough. As for the ticket offices, the tickets will be 5 Euros more
expensive there. To make it more convenient for tourists, there will also be
additional tickets sold for Friday and Saturday. When buying the ticket, you get
an access to the simple 2. Class. Also mind that your ticket has to be bought at
least three days before your trip starts and you will not have the chance to
exchange or return it back. Also mind that there will be a special surcharge for
a seat, lying or sleeping cars at night trains. |
