These days the Munchhausen museum in Latvia is
preparing to meet its 100.000th visitor. To reach this significant
number, the museum has to be visited by approximately 300 people (or may be much
less already?). The 100.000th
visitor will be rewarded with a prize, so hurry up if you are in the country at
the moment.
Munchhausen museum is a popular
attraction visited by single travelers and, of course, the whole families, as
every visitor, independently of what age he is, will find something to entertain
himself with. The museum is dedicated to the famous baron and a tall tales
professional. This is the second Munchhausen museum in the world, the first
located in Bodenwerder, the baron’s homeland. Several years ago the Latvian
museum faced a fire (it was located in a Dunte tavern). The museum is now
located in a manor where the baron and his wife spent the best years of his
life.
