Travel&Leisure magazine named Florence the
best city in the world. The second place belongs to Buenos Aires, the third to
Bangkok. Note that this year Buenos Aires has seen a significant breakthrough –
last year the city was positioned on the seventh place only. Then there go:
Rome, Sydney, New York, Udaipur (India), Istanbul, San Francisco and Cape
Town.
Such European cities as Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Sienna, Prague, Seville and Salzburg
also got high estimates. To compile the list, an opinion poll was held this
spring in which all the Travel&Leisure readers could participate. The criteria were: attractions, cultural
establishments, restaurants and cuisine, people, shopping quality and price level.
