One of the most beautiful cities in Czech Republic, the
cultural capital of Moravia, Olomouc will
become even more hospitable as there will be special
signboards installed on the city streets. The signboards will show direction to Olomouc attractions. Installation works
are almost complete and travelers will be able to use this system
in autumn. In addition to signboards, there will be information stands,
maps and so called “info boxes” (special systems installed into stands which will
provide travelers with information about the city monuments) placed within travel
routes. Artists will soon finish drawing welcoming boards which will be
located at various city spots.
The city of
Olomouc was founded in 1063 and offers many interesting attractions, including
several squares and churches. One of the squares is adorned with Holy Trinity
Column, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
