Even more hotels will appear in
the capital of Russia, Moscow. By 2010 the number of hotels there will be
increased more than twice – mostly thanks to the opening of the 2-star and
3-star properties. The city government thinks that medium hotels for 100-150
guests might become the most popular places to stay in. This particularly refers
to the historic centre of Moscow. The first hotel of the kind (though a 5-star
property) will be located on the Voznesensky per. in the building of cultural
importance, which is to be restored and adapted to the hotel needs.
The second 100-room hotel is planned to be opened
at the Borisoglebskii per., not far from Arbatskaya metro station. Moreover,
there will be another 16 hotels built this year, mostly with medium-priced
rooms.
