The Telegraph magazine published a list of best British
places and events to be visited with children. The first is “Star Wars: The
Exhibition” at London’s County Hall, where visitors can observe real costumes
that heroes of the saga were dressed in. Light-sabre tuition from a Jedi knight
will be a particular pleasure.
In the second place is the “Eye For Colour” exhibition
at the Odyssey Complex, Belfast, dedicated to how various colours are used
by animals and influence them. Children can create their own camouflage costumes
and learn some facts about animal behavior.
“Science of Spying/Build It!” at Science Museum,
London is in the third place. Each child is given a secret agent ID card. Then
your offsprings will have a course in codebreaking, spotting a liar and rooting through
rubbish for secrets.
The list also includes exhibitions “From Pole to
Pole” at the Our Dynamic Earth Gallery, Edinburgh (a real winter adventure!) and
“The Emerald Forest” at Conkers, Leicestershire for those who want to walk along
an improvised forest.
