For some reason, many “jail” hotels have been opened all over the world
during the last years. This summer another hotel of the kind will be opened in
Boston, USA. The four-star hotel will occupy a former Charles St. jail and will
be called Liberty hotel – rather a symbolic name. The city’s most dangerous
crimes were kept in this stone building at the Charles River. However, now the
building will be turned into an accommodation place for solvent travelers.
Liberty hotel is a 16-storied erection adjacent to the
former jail (the latter was built in 1851). The hotel will offer 298 rooms, with
20 of them found in the old building. Views from its windows will be of the
Charles River and the esplanade. Guest will also take advantage of two
restaurants (one called “Bread and water”), a spacious hall and other
facilities.
