 Marriott hotels will be the first in Jordan to offer their guests a
new kind of service: an “easy guide” around Petra that will help make
independent excursions without guide’s assistance. Nowadays the easy guide is
available in two languages: English and Arabic. Later on, there will be
excursions in Spanish, French and Russian introduced. Easy guide is the audio
device that contains information on 30 Petra attractions. By using it, visitors
to the historical complex will have an opportunity to schedule their time and
route as well as be independent of groups and tour guides. Easy guide is very
convenient and easy to use: Petra visitors follow a special numbered route (the
map is offered when renting the appliance). Each number goes with the number of
comments in recordings. The recording is 70 minutes long and contains 32 reports
about Petra’s history. Among the Jordan Marriott hotels there are: Amman
Marriott Hotel, Petra Marriott Hotel and Valley Marriott & SPA resort.
